Pat Speth, quilter and author came to our quilt guild meeting last night. She is the author of Nickel Quilts. Hew quilts were beautiful and she made it look so easy to make them. Most were from half square triangles, flying geese, etc. all out of 5 inch blocks. they were amazing. Check out her website at www.patspeth.com. She had a workshop during the day but I was unable to attend. She brought quite a display of quilts and had a story for each. She was a great speaker and you can tell she enjoys what she does. CAMEO guild has really brought in a lot of awesome speakers. I do enjoy this guild.

I have purchased all of the books in her "Nickel Quilt" series. They are my "go to" books when I want to make a scrap quilt. Strongly recommend them for the scrappy quilters.

This is amazing. I just spent yesterday evening looking at her books on Amazon trying to decide if I wanted one (or all lol) thanks for the good reviews.

I have recently made two tops from her patterns and am working on a third. Love them.

Cut my small scraps into 5 inch squares if possible and have a huge stack to work with.

I love her Nickel Quilt books...and would love to see her as a speaker....our guild brings in some good speakers too.

I have a large collection of 5" charms and am working on a quilt from one of the books now...making a block at a time when I have time...only 4 done so far out of 20 so have a long way to go.
