OK as some might remember I am planning a rag type quilt made of jeans with a twist. I am using the windows pattern to do this as I have some real neat fabric to use for the inner window and it will make bed quilt a bit lighter.

Here is the link to the pattern http://www.quilterscache.com/W/WindowsBlock.html

My problem is I am not sure if I need to add the 1/4 allowace when measuring on the cut. The cut is at 2 1/2 I am using the eazy rule II. It has the 1/4 inch on the outer edges but to make the 2 1/1 cut that is on the inside lines. Is this making sense to you? Do I add the 1/4 after the 2 1/2 inch cut line and cut from there? Or just cut at the 2 1/2 inch line on the ruler?

the pattern cut at 2.5 includes the seam allowance.

so with the ruler you have use the line that will yield a cut that is 2.5 inches in size.
