Default Pattern/Help on quilting team quilt

I am looking for an easy pattern to make my grandson a University of Tennessee
theme quilt for his 15th birthday. I am new to quilting so any suggestions would be
    appreciated.

Here is a school quilt I made and one I found in Quiltmaker. I don't know the issue, but I do know they sell that as a pattern now. (it must have been pretty popular!). The USC one I scanned one of the logos up off the fabric. I traced it to Wonder Under and made my own iron on applique. I was lucky enought to FIND USC fabric. It took me a couple weeks searching online. You could just do it in Orange and white. It will be BRIGHT! ( I almost didn't post as I'm a Vanderbilt grad! We are ALWAYS RIVALS! lolol) Hope this helps...

For an easy quilt, I would use themed fabrics. Here are some for Tennessee:

If you choose one themed fabric and two coordinating solids, a really easy quilt to make would be Warm Wishes. Google "warm wishes quilt pattern" and then click on "images" to see what this pattern looks like.

I haven't purchased the fabric yet, the school colors are orange & white and I thought
I would be adding black. The size will be for a full size bed.

I should have added that the front of this quilt is 100% cotton fabrics and I used a layer of dark blue flannel for the batting and a layer of golden yellow flannel for the backing. I cut the batting flannel the same size as the cotton and backing so it would "rag" a lot. I used my Accuquilt Go Rag Die.
