Default Pattern for pinwheel block

On MainStreetCottonShop.com they have a club called Christmas Spirit Block of the Month. I love the pattern but do not want to join the club because it is a Christmas Quilt and I don't make Christmas Quilts. I already contacted them and they don't sell the pattern separate. Does anyone have a similar pattern that you can give me the name of the pattern and company name so I can order the pattern? I love piwheel blocks and would love to make this quilt (just not in Christmas colors). I'm sure the block is not hard--it is the rest of the pattern that I need. I do not like to "strain my brain" figuring out what size to cut peices to make a quilt and how much material to buy of each color. I like to just have a pattern to follow.

It would be quite easy to draw it out on graph paper. It is just a large pinwheel with every other section a pieced one. I understand that it is easier to have a pattern to follow, but sometimes it is fun and satisfying to work it out yourself if you can't find a pattern. Good luck.

Go to Missouri Quilt Company on youtube or utube, I can't remember which it is. Jenny does a very good, easy pinwheel block without a pattern.

here's instructions for the block http://quilting.about.com/od/quiltbl...heel_quilt.htm
page 3 gives cutting for different size blocks

and here's a pretty twist on the block http://quilting.about.com/od/blockof...s_pinwheel.htm

Quilterscache has 9 or so pinwheels. None with the straight piece, but here are two that would give you a very similar effect.

I like both of these. If you click on page 2 at the bottom of Marcia's pattern, most will show a completed quilt.
