Default Pattern

I recently saw a pattern or a quilt of this design. Does anyone know the name of it?

Thanks for the small tutorial Jan! You make it look so easy! I'm going to try it as well!

A similiar pattern can be downloaded free from cascadequilts.com or the Moda Bake Shop. It is called Vintage Modern Pinwheels.

There is also a similar pattern called Starry Path that appeared in Quilt World magazine Sept. 2002 but it is copyrighted so I don't know about getting it although I printed it from the internet. REading the article according to Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns the Starry Path pattern is attributed to Old Chelsea Station Needlecraft Service, a mail-order company started in 1933. Sorry I can't send a pic, using my husband's laptop these days.
