Need help here. I am going to be making a quilted tote and want to use the spray basting method (I am lazy and hate to baste). My teacher at the applique club showed me a queen sized quilt that she used the spray baste method for and it was beautiful. At the Bernina shop they use 505. I recently acquired some Sulky KK2000. It appears to be the same type of product. Is it and do any of you have any experience with it?
Thanks for any info you all can provide.

I have used the Sulky and it was fine. However, from what I have read, the 505 has less odor. The one thing I don't like abut spray basting is the odor from the spray. It goes away, of course, but while spraying it's best to be outdoors or in a well-ventilated room.
I have used several different types of spray. All worked fine, but all needed good ventilation while spraying.

Hi there,
I have not used 505 or Sulky for quilting, but I have used them for my embroidery and have not had issues wth either. Use smaller amounts of teh SUlky though than the 505. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all your help. It gave me the courage to try it. I have been quilting fabric for a tote bag and so far the sulky kk2000 (which I got with a large batch of sulky products on Ebay) has worked well.
