Default Patterns that showcase stripes & plaids?

(Future projects...always looking for 'the next one')

I found some terrific stripes & plaids yesterday while browsing around Etsy, and wondered what would be the best way to show off fabrics like this. They remind me so much of the candy sticks we'd get at the country store. I've seen great bindings with stripes that look much like a barber pole, and I've seen some unfortunate applications of stripes on an otherwise beautiful quilt (ref: Jan's recent Round Robin debacle). Just wondering if you've created or seen some really fabulous strips/plaids out there used effectively.

There was an awesome Card Trick quilt posted on QB with stripes. Any pattern where you can cut the stripes to use 45* or similar angles make a cool effect.

http://www.redpepperquilts.com/2013/...ens-Quilt.html I love this one!!!

this one is for a pillow but it could be adapted to a quilt. I like how the striped fabric is used to sash the solid center square. http://www.redpepperquilts.com/2011/...k-pillows.html

We are doing a stripe swap in my quilt class. Free pattern from instructor Lyn Brown. She has lots of freebies and also is on craftsy. http://www.lynbrown.com/boxes-and-bo...ntent=FaceBook
