I wanted to make some of the snap bags everybody is making so I printed a pattern of the internet. To day I am going through some of my patterns trying to find something and I found I had the pattern for the snap bags.
I have a habit of buying patterns with the idea I have material at home or will get some later. When I travel and packing a suitcase I don't dare buy material because I fly and there is just so much room in the suitcase plus the weight. Never know what I will find.
How many others buy just patterns to use later?

Oh I have a whole box full of good intentions. Every so often, I pull them out and decide that I will definitely do one of those next. Back in the box they go, and off to a different project I go. I still love my patterns though.

I seem to always have big plans but don't quite carry through. I have several still brand new.

Patterns it is for me. I like to "collect" fabric that will suit a certain pattern. That way I get to make my own kits. When I get a kit together, the pattern gets used. Let just say I have a lot of kits that I am working on

LOL! I have a full size Simplicity pattern cabinet in my studio. DD inherited it in the garage of the house she bought. I buy lots of patterns (always on sale for .99-1.99) "on speculation" and sometimes find I have duplicates because I forgot I already got that one!! But since I sew lots of things beside quilts, I use lots of patterns. Current passions are aprons and purses. Will have to remind family not to throw them in the trash when I am gone!!

I have patterns like the rest of us that always have good intentions when buying them, then some how they never get done. Well, I hope to do some of them someday. LOL!

Don't buy many patterns - too much is free. But have two thick binders full of patterns that I keep adding to (almost need a third one) which I couldn't possibly make in my lifetime plus the ones saved electronically on the computer.
