Question Quilt labels

Got a question.....Do you use your embroidery machine to make your quilt labels? If so, do you stabilize it? How do you attach it?

I'm doing a bunch of charity quilts and wanted to make sure I had a label on them. Figured it would be easier and faster and I would make sure each quilt got a label.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sandy

I use tear away , to sew it on, I use a used dryer sheet, sew them inside out on three sides. Turn it the right way and attach two sides of it when I put the binding on. Tack down remaing two sides. Clear as mud , right?

I use the iron on pellon and serge around it. You can either machine sew it to the quilt or as I prefer, hand stitch it to the quilt.

Instead of a dryer sheet I use lightweight fusible interfacing, sewing the label and fusible side right sides together. That way you can use a press cloth and fuse the label to your quilt before hand sewing it in place. It holds it straight and flat.
