Default Pfaff Passport 2.0 - question

I have purchased the new Pfaff Passport 2.0. I plan to leave it at our lake place. I've noticed that the needle position isn't centered. When I do paper piecing, I have to jog the needle to the left about 3 "clicks" to center it. Of course this would cause a problem with proper seams, too. Does anyone else have this misalignment on their Passport? I'm thinking it can be adjusted as soon as I have the opportunity to take it in but I'm wondering if it is a common problem.

Did you set your stitch to #1? I had a Brother machine that was set in the left hand position at "turn on" and I needed to press the #1 stitch for the needle to be centered. Good luck.

If you don't like it there ... can you change your default position, to the one you want?

I don't know your machine or brand, though I do know I was able to do that with my Janome, and can do so with my new Bernina.

Well, I sure don't understand why a default setting wouldn't be centered! Anyway, I have to move the needle as far to the left as it will go to get it "almost" centered. There's no way to re-set the default, so I think I'll ask the servicer to see if it can be adjusted. Otherwise, this is a great little machine!

The service tech person should be able to make an adjustment to center the needle. I had to have that done on my Pfaff 2054.

Adjusting the needle center position is fairly easily done - just take it in to the dealer and a tech can probably adjust it on the spot.

Did you solve the needle default issue? I too would want it to default to the center. How are you liking it now that you've had it a few month?
