    Default Anything I can do?

I fell ice skating Saturday which sprained my right wrist terribly. I cannot use my right hand at all.

    This ruined my quilting weekend.

Can you think of any quilty things I can do?

I thought about reorganizing my thread collection.
Maybe sew together charm squares into a simple top? (I can't press though)

Any ideas? It is bad enough I can't ice skate for awhile, but when I realized I also can't quilt- UGH!

Sort through your scraps, organizing by size or color? match fabrics for a future quilt? I was laid up with a break for two months, couldn't walk or use my machine but i did get alot of fabric cut for tops.

Organizing scraps is a good possibility.

I wish I could cut- I just got a dresden plate ruler, but that is out However, I can walk- so I'm not doing so badly...

Can you use your left hand? How about designing your next quilt? That's what I did when I
could not sew for a few months. I have carpal tunnel and I'm right-handed but I use my left
hand when I'm on the computer. It sure helps balance things out. Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry that this happened to you. All I can suggest is what "bakermom" did. Also, you can go on this quilting forum and read all the posts. This should use up quite a few hours. Sometimes I just google "quilting" and it brings me to a variety of things to read and get interested in. Hope this helps and that you will be on the mend very soon and can get back to your love of quilting. I too had a bad fall Dec.5th, nothing broken I'm happy to say, just lots of bruises. However, after about a month, I started having problems with headaches and severe neck pain. Evidentally, the fall aggravated an old neck injury and now I am in therapy three times a week. Surely hope that it gets better soon. I know how you feel, as I cannot do too much as it aggravates the pain. Really getting bored, as I'm not one to sit around, like to keep busy. Good Luck.

I'm right handed so I wouldn't be able to do anything but read. No housework either.

It is sad how useless I am with my left hand. I'm stuck in pajamas because I can't button or zip. I got a book on the kindle. Books are too heavy for my left hand, and page turning is hard.
