Ladies teach me your knowledge on size of needle & what kind of thread to use on quilts. Bought a new Ellure Plus yesterday and it has a #14 needle and she wanted me to purchase her thread "wow" is that expensive at LQS. Give me your input on this. I understand from reading on here that I can what ever thread I want "embroidery has a shine" but can use regular especially when just doing a practice piece.

Embroidery thread needs a bigger eyed needle. I buy topstitch needles a lot for embroidery, or they also sell embroidery needles too.

I keep different sizes around too, I use bigger ones for denim/tear away than tshirt/tear away

I buy in bulk when I find a good sale :D:D:D
