I am a big fan of the Pieced Tree patterns. They are the small laminated cards, roughly 3"x5" cards that you might see hanging from a hook at your LQS. Made my first purchase at a quilt shop in Mountain Home, Arkansas and bought three at the time. Came home and within 20 minutes, had a table runner from scraps made. In about 90 minutes, there were 5 more made. Not everyone wants to make a quilt, so these are just great for someone who wants to make something easy and quick and most times, from scraps which makes the project very economical. Each card has a pic on the front and on the back there are the fabric requirements for the project as well as the preparation needed for the project. I also love Pieced Tree patterns - the one in my avatar is called Center Stage. Their patterns are very quick and easy to put together.

that is what is so great about quilter's cache.com....you can see what just 1 block looks like and go from there..sometimes the block is great, but a quilt out of them is not so great..and visa versa....
