I make a few of them.I like to give them as gifts for my grandkids as they are easy to mail and it's a fun way to use up novelty fabrics. I also use them for gift wrapping presents. I just made one tonight for my aunt's 85 birthday and covered an empty wipes container with the same fabric and placed a few toiletry items in it that can sit prettily at her bedside.

I've been making them for Christmas presents and some for myself.

I have made about 25 so far for the million pillowcase challenge. They are quick and easy to make and I like to imagine how happy they will make some young boy or girl. I have made some for the military as well and hope that they bring a touch of home to someone far away.

I made 2 pillowcases tonight, but didn't like thw fabric so I will keep them for us. Will make some more as gifts. I do like to make them. My DGG gets them for all the holidays when she is away at college. Helps to keep in touch with them.

I have not done one yet. I understand they are really easy so this may sound like a silly question. Does anyone have a pattern for doing them. One of our LQS is doing a collection for our local children's hospital. Maybe after Christmas I will have time to do some.

The group I sew with has been making and collecting pillowcases for the million pillowcase drive. We have about 100 now and are sewing this Fri and next to finish up then the count will be posted and the pillowcases given to an outlet for needy children and to local nursing homes.
