Thanks for the link; I had been looking for this log cabin type chicken.

Very nice.

What do you stuff your felted pin cushions with?

And that is also what I use, I have one on my cutting table and one by my sewing machine.

You need to find something that you like and just go for it.

I like the Fons & Porter pincushions - they're cute and colorful.

Mine favorite is the chicken...I tried to make one (it looked so simple, messed it up) and bought 3 different designs at quilt shows..

Craftybear posts all these awesome sites. She posted a whole bunch on pincushions one day. I have to go home and find the site, but I love these flower pin cushions. I am a beginner on stuff that's not quilting and I understood how to make it. I've even made a few more with this absolutely HORRID fabric. What was cool is it already had lines like an asterick and it was easy to follow with the embroidery thread to make the petals.

Here is a picture:

i have a wonderful friend in quilting and other ways as well who made me one of the most useful gifts for sewing I have ever had. It was a BIG, about 6 inch square, wool pin cushion stuffed with wool scraps. It is wonderful for it sits firmly wherever you place it, even on the arm of a chair. I love it, and her for making it.

I make Ball mason jar pincushions to sell, these are very easy to make too.
I don't like the tomato one either.
Do you have any available to buy right now? If you do, please send me a pm and I will purchase one.
