Default Pink Camouflage And Owls? Suggestions?

I'm being blessed with a new baby niece in November. My DB and DSIL are avid hunters and are doing the nursery in pink camo with owls (DB's favorite animal). Any suggestions on how to incorporate both themes into a baby quilt?

Congratulations! There are alot of free owl designs for baby quilts on the internet. I would suggest just find the one you want and make it either using the pink camo as a border or maybe find a pink camo flannel as backing.

Well you are having a niece at a time where there are so many beautiful owl prints available that would look very nice with pink camo. Here is one print just as an example, but you can do a google search and get many more

I would do a simple 9 patch with pink camo and a darker pink in the same tone and do an alternating snowball block using an owl print. Congrats on being an auntie!

Here's camo AND an owl in a quilt. http://www.custommade.com/baby-camo-...by/onebeelane/ And here's some really amazing fabric - scroll down to see the owl - http://blogs.basspro.com/blog/huntin...flage-clothing Actually that may not be fabric, just a really neat picture.

Ohhh I think this would be an awesome fabric combo for a quilt! Make a camo/blended background, then use some of the camo on the owls (applique) so they look a little hidden in the background. I love the link Dunster posted above - what great fabric choices!

Here's a neat quilt. You could use shades of pinks for the 9 patches or maybe even the camouflage.

Or if you want to see more of the owls, maybe something like this would work. Of course, substitute other colors for some of the blues.

My newborn niece's daddy is an avid hunter, theme is animals (puppies, kitties, bunnies, rabbits--not safari) , and the colors are various pinks, greens, tans, and browns. I'm going to try to find pink camo for the backing to please daddy, and I've already got the top designed to please mommy ( my sister). I like the nine-patch with the owl in the corner that's linked above.
