I don't have the pinking blade but I do have the scalloped blade. Have used it on fleece but never on anything else. I hadn't thought about using it on fabrics before washing. I'm a bit of a klutz when it comes to using the ruler with the wavy edge. (Ya know, can't walk and chew gum at the same time.)

I have Olfa, but don't use it much. It really does mess up the cutting mat, at least that's my opinion.

I bought mine to use only when I pre-wash fabrics. It works well for that purpose.

I do lots of fleece blankets for Project Linus and use the pinking blade for the appliques. I cut tons of fleece, and I use a half worn out mat exclusively for fleece. Whenever I need to replace my "good" mat, the older one replaces the fleece mat. Therefore, I always have 2 mats going.

I enjoyed reading the comments on this thread. Now I'm sure I don't want a pinking blade.

I love my pinking rotary blade! I made this table runner from a Missouri Star Quilting video and it was so much fun.

I used one to trim a fleece blanket. Finished edges looked nice. Much nicer and much faster than pinking shears.

I've got the wavy blade and managed to chip my ruler when using it. Just be careful where you start your cut and you should be fine. I used it to cut squares that were stitched all over a sweatshirt.

I use one to trim my wadding when joining pieces, with a bit of a nudge it "locks" the pieces together and with a zig-zag stitch makes a beautiful joined up piece.

I've used them on fleece for when I didn't want to tie. Worked well.
