Are they old school?? I bought some pinking blades for my rotary cutter and thought I was going to cut my mat up instead, it didn't cut the fabric. I've been thinking of getting my old shears sharpened but don't know if I'd use them.

I use mine a lot. Never had much luck with the pinking rotary.

I much prefer to use the pinking blade in my rotary cutter as the little fraying threads make me crazy. Joann's carries a titanium brand of pinking blade that is actually a little cheaper than the other brands and it fits my cutter. Doesn't seem to bother my cutting mat any more than the straight blade.

I use my pinking shears all the time! I don't have the pinking blade for my rotary cutter. I figure since I have the shears that's all I need.

I have a pinking blade for my rotary cutter and I use it on the edges of new fabric before I wash, it really cuts down on the edges fraying

I use pinking sheers (all I hear is grandmas frowning voice> "It'll fray..Better safe than sorry" lol Not so much when piecing but, squaring up a quilt or making a pillow case etc....
I had no idea they made pinking blades for a rotary cutter...Learn something new everyday

I use my pinking shears a lot, so I thought I'd try the rotary pinking blades and didn't like them.....maybe it was just me and the blades :)
