PINS

They say necessity is the mother of invention, well, I've just found another use for the Clover pronged pins.

Having just finished knitting a 12 ply Aran jumper for DS as an early Birthday present for January, I am about to sew the sleeve seams to the front and back so I can knit the neckband. Ordinary pins get lost in the wool, and are also hard to get out as you go. Hunted out my pronged pins, and they work like a dream. Hold the seams together much better than ordinary pins, and are easy to get out.

Anyone else found a non-quilting use for them?

What a great use for them. I do some knitting and I never thought of that. Thanks for the tip.

A Long time ago I made fabric covered wreaths and used those. We cut the fabric into squares, stuffed them with polyester stuffing and used the pronged pins to attach to a wreath :thumbup:
