PIQF - this could be dangerous!
Oh me oh my...I was just looking at the calendar and I realized I get paid the Friday before I head over to the Pacific International Quilt Festival in Santa Clara - I will be attending on Saturday & Sunday.
Not only is Friday my payday, but I am paid bi-weekly so I get an "extra" paycheck in October. Oh dear.
I better bring an extra shopping bag! LOL
I love PIQF...the quilts are amazing and there is so much to look at! I don't usually actually do a lot of shopping there, I'm too busy drooling over quilts from all around the world.

Even better - I have a hotel room across the road, I can just go drop things off and come back with empty bags for more! MUAAHAHAHAHAAA!
I'm really hoping to score a deal on some larger Bloc-Loc rulers this year. Last year they sold out before I even got there!

I LOVE the PIQF! It is always on or around my birthday (Oct 16). Unfortunately, this year I can't go. I had surgery on an infection in my foot in July and it is FINALLY nearly closed, but I have not been able to walk on it since the surgery. I see the doctor again on Oct 14, and he told me to bring my shoes and my walker. I will have to use the walker for a week or so, then a walking stick or cane before I can "solo". A good friend of mine offered to push me around the PIQF in a wheelchair, which is so kind of her, but I said no. Maybe next year. Anyway, have a great time! Usually, after I have looked at all the quilts on display I am simultaneously inspired and discouraged. I want to go home and throw all my machines and such in the trash. I am not this caliber of quilter, but I get inspired to BE that kind of quilter. Enjoy the PIQF, get great deals and get inspired!
