I like boxes boots and sports shoes come in. These are good size and are good for project in progress, I put all the cut pieces, pattern, extra fabric and other things in the box. I put stickers on the end with a project name. These stack up real easy. I have 8 grands and I always have a good supply. :D

Have you ever used the waxed chicken boxes that come from grocery stores? They are big, but they store cloth so nicely and can be labeled and stacked too. :roll:
I also have used waxed fish boxes which are about half the size of the chicken boxes. You might think those would smell, but they do not if you air them in the sun for a day or two.
You pretty well have to have a friend who is in the restaruant business or grocery business to get them because they are such nice sturdy boxes.
I cover both kinds with pretty contact paper to make them seem more like craft holders rather than just cardboard boxes. I am not ashamed to open my closets to let them show.

I prefer the clear plastic boxes with lids. They stack well and come in different sizes, so when I just have the fabric for a project it goes in a med. then when I got it all cut out it goes in a small, then after it starts going together it gets to move to a large.
I use the chicken boxes in my attic for longterm storage.

Be careful when using pizza boxes .... a friend took her box, with several completed applique blocks in the pizza box, with her on a trip and room service at the hotel threw out the pizza box when cleaning up the room. You'd thought they would have checked to see what they got on the pizza and if there was any left before throwing out a spic N span clean pizza box .....
