I buy mine online at Mills Fleet Farm www.fleetfarm.com. Great prices and quick shipping.

I have made tons of these bowls as well as trivets and sold them. I purchased from Amazon Prime. Koch 7/32 x 200 feet for $10.97. Very economical and I got lots of bowls with 200 ft. I purchased at least 15 pkgs in 2013. I had no difficulty using my Janome Jem and I use Organ brand needles. Never had a broken one or difficulty of any kind. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks Joanie, I'm going to try getting it local one more time before ordering on line.

The reviews seem really positive for this rope. Thank you for sharing.

    clothesline

Walmart has it for $1.87, and Big Lots has cheap but nice clothesline rope. Also Home Depot has thicker, but more expensive clothesline rope.

I purchase mine at farm stores such as Blaine's Farm and Fleet here in Iowa. Haven't broken a needle yet.
