I have a friend who is getting married on her 70th BD (7/19) to a man who flies hot air balloons. I'd like to make this for them as a wedding gift: http://tinyurl.com/6mzpdk I found a "Balloonist's Prayer" that I'd like to use on the label. Thought I'd use one piece of fabric for each balloon, each being a different print. I'm excited to start this project but we're camping . . . there's a Jo-Anns close by where I could look for fabric, but we're going sight-seeing today . . . Why doesdn't Jo-Anns open at 7:30? Oh, I am so impulsive!

What a lovely idea I am sure they will both be thrilled with it. I know what you mean about being impulsive, I have a stack of impulsive fabric, however one day it will get used, I keep telling my husband its for when I retire and cant afford to buy it, the way things are going up in the shops at the moment I think its a good investment.

Awesome idea, DJ! I was watching a Sewing with Nancy scrap quilt deal this a.m., and she pieced together strips of rainbow colors to make blocks - it reminded me of hot air balloons! I think all fabric stores should be open 24-7 too, because you never know when inspiration will strike :D
