I have about got this top finished, and I think it will have a plain muslin backing, off white. I auditioned a border of dark blue, and then one of the more medium blue. I liked the medium blue better. I have a green fabric that would look good too, but I don't like the green that much. Currently I am just going to leave the four strips as the four borders and be done with it. We'll see what I actually end up deciding.

Let me add a picture of where I am now. (Got to take it first.) I just added the green top and bottom border strip, and have the two green sides to go, and then the darker blue around the whole thing.

The border needs to be darker to draw your eye to the center. I love the green, lime green, the lime green border is great, its just that the border is not one solid or same color all the way around. At the bottom of the border (if it is the border, you have that white strip, get rid of it. Close you quit in with a darker border....see what you think. I love you colors, just not in love with that last unco-ordinated strip. Just my humble opinion! Trust your your opinion......look at it as long as you need to. That is what I do. Do not hesitate to show us you final product. Great job.

Great colors. Finish the quilt and quilt it. You will get a whole different look once it is quilted. You did a great job laying out the rail fence -- love the way you have the colors moving across the quilt.

Looks good to me! Maybe you'll like it better when you're finished.
