Have you ladies ever had this happen to you? I had a bundle of what looked to be scraps and just moved it from one place to another not giving it another thought. Well yesterday I decided that either I was going to be able to use this or I was going to find it another home. So I opened this bundle up keep in mind that this was rolled and edges uneven but i remember that the lady said something about there is a lot here. She had put this in with my other purchases when I would do the yard sales. So after washing and squaring up the find I ended up with 65 pieces of fabric 60 inches wide and 26 inches long. It looks to be a shirting type of fabric thin with a slightly raised stripe. Any ideas for using this? Colors black and light blue
Thanks
Ginger from Ky

WOW! You have alot of fabric.

Is it all cotton? or a poly blend? or?

All kinds of piecing possibilities for the front of a quilt.
Then piece the back with the two.

It feels like a poly blend. I never thought about there being that much fabric in the bundle and had thought about getting rid of it on more than one occasion but I would just move it to another part of my sewing room when trying to organize.

With Polyester in it, it'll last forever. If I had it, I'd use it as a solid piece with bright colored applique on it for a kids' quilt. It should wash well and often and still look good. I'd cover the inside seam edges with some bright colors, possibly for roads with little cars on it. It seems to me to want to be a little boys' quilt, with med colored backing. Maybe to play on the floor with.

FIRST of all, wash it with color catchers.

You ladies are the best I am grateful for all the ideas and can't wait to get started on a new project of course I need to finish what is already in the works. LOL I know that I am the only one that has 10 different things going on at the same time. Again thanks

When I see stripes I see bindings.

Who says you have to finish what you're already working on first???????????? That's why we all have WIPs ---------- If you don't drop everything and start using this fabric, you may forget you have it - or worse, you may forget what we've suggested!!!!!!!!!!

I like your way of thinking- at least the other projects won't be jealous, although I think I can hear one calling my name.
