This is my 2nd quilt ever and will be for my granddaughters 5th birthday to cover her twin day bed. I have the width fiqured out, but am stumped on what to use to get the length needed.
I will be using 3" sashing and would like to use 5 or 6"(1" wide) of fabric used for the outer boarder. Here is my question(s):(1) To get the needed length-should I use the pink/yellow plaid with a black before the outer border?(2) Or should I use blocks of the same material that I will use in the border? If so, do you suggest something between the bolocks and border?(3) What would you do?

do you have a bit of yellow you could put before the plaid border? just a thin border of it would look good.
great quilt so far.
