Please help I have been trying to keep myself going by making lap quilts for the Victory Junction Gang. They are located in Randleman,nc. I have a lot of health problems, but I,m just tryng to keep my self busy, theres so little I can do. I have been working on a quilt for months, finally finished. I know ther got to be a easier way. I bought a SQ 9000 guilting machine. The machine sew great but I can`t get it to quilt. I`m new at all all of this ,is there a site to see someone doing the quilting. Am I mistaker and this machine is not for really quilting. Please I beg can someone help me.
THank you every so much betty

I own the SQ9000 and have done quilting with it. Make sure your feet are lowered, and you have darning foot attached. You can quilt straight lines, in the ditch etc without lowering the feet.
What does it seem to do that you can't quilt with it?

Quilting can be done on almost any regular sewing machine. Do you have a walking foot for the machine? One of the easiest ways to machine quilt is to use a walking food and simply make gently curvy lines from one end of the quilt to the other.

Quilting is just like sewing for the machine. It is making stitches -- just through all three layers of the quilt sandwich.
