Default Sewing machine for traveling

I'm thinking of buying a Janome 3128 for traveling purposes. It only weighs 8 or 9 lbs. It's less money than the Janome Jem. Has anyone had any experience with the 3128? Would appreciate any comments about light weight Janome machines.

I don't know anything about that model, however, I do have the 3160. I love all the features it has and it sews great. It also only weighs 8-9 pounds.

I'll be watching this thread. My DSinL also wants a small machine.

I have the 3160 Janome also. I love it. It would work as a full time machine, but doesn't have a real deep throat. Great to take to classes and workshops.
