I have one like the Gidget (bought it before it had a cute name)and it works out great for me. It folds up and slides right under the bed when I need to use the room for guests.

The portable tables I've used are the wooden snack tray tables that come in a set of 4 for about $40 and the light weight folding picnic type tables that are about the same price for 5 or 6 ft table.
What I've found that I like even better are the school desk type tables that are about 4 ft x 18". The legs are adjustable and they are quite sturdy, even if a bit worn from being in a school classroom for however long. I found mine at a yard sale from someone who got them in bulk at auction when the school replaced them with new ones. He was selling them 4 for $30. I convinced him to let me have 2 for $15. Then went back a few weeks later and got 2 more for use elsewhere.

Got the gidget 1. Hate to be negative here but I really don't like it. The sew ez allows you to buy custom inserts so your machine fits perfectly. I have returned to using my dining room table and I prefer that.

I have the Sew EZ and really like it. The insert I got fits around the machine perfectly and it seems fairly sturdy.

There is also a portable computer table made by Safeco. It has a little shelf for the keyboard . A FW fits in their nicely. I was thinking about getting one for one of my machines, but I don't know how sturdy the shelf would be for a really heavy machine, like an embroidery or vintage. I would like to find one used, but they're not too bad new.

I have the SewEzi table and love it! The insert fits nicely around the machine, it has wheels so you can roll it anywhere and has a cover. The cover has a pocket so you can carry the insert with no trouble.
