I love all of the colors you put together, but I personally would not detract from the quilt by using any vine appliques or such. I think I would just add a simple border and quilt it, have you thought about scalloped border? I think I would get a piece of fabric and fold in a scallop and see what it looks like, I think I would put a white border on this quilt if it were me. I love the blue one too, but would love to see the whole quilt. You did a great job on yours too Basketman.

I agree with simple is better for this quilt..as far as the border goes ..u could just get some scrapes and play with them to see how to connect it to the quilt after quilting them if I read this right..I thought of the sandwich way ..that should work...

The only border I could think of would be piano keys. I also suggest the Baptist fan.

I fell in love with Cindy Needham with a Craftsy course she taught. She has new "Ultimate stencils" and a handbook free download on her website. She has great ideas and you might find something there. You might also want to google pineapple quilts for ideas. Lots on there too.

This is the method I found to connect QAG sections together. I used straight of grain the first time, but after washing I got a lot of twisted looking sashing, so I will work with bias and lots of starch from now on. It is the easiest method for me to do. There are lots of other ways on YouTube. This one is my choice. I used three inch cuts to do the connecting because I liked that look. Make your self a few small sandwiches and try the different methods will help you decide which method is for you.
