What is better? Flannel or batting?

I like flannel because I can use a lint roller to clean off the threads every so often. And it holds up better in my opinion.

I put batting underneath, glued to the foamboard and then stretched flannel over the batting. Works great!

Flannel would probably wear longer, but I like how the fabric grips the warm and natural batting, better :D:D:D

I agree. Plus I used Warm and Natural from my quilt class and I used a roller lint brush on it with no problem.

Wish I had ROOM for a design wall! But I think my choice would be flannel because of all the comments about it.

I purchased felt three years ago, and it has worked for me. The felt was at half price, and two yards have served me well for the length and width of any quilt I have made. .
