Has anyone done washing of precut fabrics?

Yes, I've washed jelly roll strips using one of those mesh laundry bags. I used the warm water setting, but did not put them in the dryer. Instead, I ironed them with a hot iron without steam.

One can - but most people don't seem to because of possible (probable) shrinkage and distortion of the strips

If one does - hand wash (no agitation) and line dry or lay out on towels to air dry.
