Now that I have some room to breath, I would like to get started on a couple BOMs I've been getting. Do I prewash the fabric or just start cutting?

I was thinking of swishing the fabrics in water just to make sure they are colorfast and deal with the ones that aren't.\

    what do other members do?

I've never washed a BOM. Depending on the shop and the BOM there may not be enough to allow for shrinkage. Plus BOMs come from the same line so if there is shrinkage it'll all shrink the same.

    NO!
the shops cutting the bom kits seldom add enough extra to make up for it if something gets wonky.
just jump in and start making your bom blocks, when the quilt is all done then wash it. it will be BEAUTIFUL
