Pretty much of all our suppliers have raised prices 25 cents - 30 cents per yard this year. So you might expect that to translate into a 50-60 cent increase at the retail level. There may be additional increases later this year; all the manufacturers seem reluctant to say one way or another whether they are done raising prices this year.

Shops are probably not going to be able to absorb the price increase; as you all know, everyone gets squeezed from tax increases too, both individuals and businesses. Cautious shops will probably raise their prices just enough to cover their additional costs from the suppliers' price increases.

I love your optimism! LOL Actually, I did get a new flyer from Joann's with a 50% off coupon instead of the usual 40%.

LOL!!! Thank goodness I have a stash to shop from. Money's tight anyway & I can't justify spending the money for fabric.

If I choose my quilt projects wisely, I can probably "shop" from my stash for the next decade or more (not because I have a large stash, but because I'm sloooooooooow!). I do, however, have collections of machine embroidery designs that I bought for quilts and I might need to buy some special fabrics to frame those. Oh well, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it!

I haven't seen it here yet, but I'm sure it's coming.
