Every so often a topic on the forum isn't available when I click on it, and there's a message: "Looks like this topic has been deleted".

Does anybody know what this means exactly? Is there some inappropriate language used in the post or responses, or is the topic itself off limits for the forum for some reason?

I've contacted Admin about my confusion a couple of times but haven't received a response. Anybody have any info about this?

I've wondered the same thing myself.

Probably some or all of the above. Bottom line...the thread was deemed inappropriate by Admin & removed.

Moving on & back to our regularly scheduled quilting...

Or, it was a duplicate topic that still had not had any responses on it. Sometime we (as in all of us) are a little quicker to hit the send button multiple times if it does not load fast enough.
Or, it was someone trying to sell something on here who is not "a regular here"

this question has been asked and answered many times over ... several times today alone.

the emailed digests are not the forum. they are just selections from the topics that were here when the selection software was run.

the computer does not read and evaluate the topics before adding them to the list. it doesn't check for violations of copyright law; duplicates; slander; viral anger; bigotry; improper posts of advertisements and solicitation; ads in our thrift shop that don't comply with the rules; or other things that aren't in keeping with the spirit and purpose of the community.

sooooooo ... sometimes the computer leads you astray.

it's so much more efficient to come straight to the board to see all the pages and pages and pages of wonderful things that await you here. :-)
