My friend purchased a "quilt" that she found to be far too puffy for her taste, so she asked if I could help flatten it out by top stitching it. This idea failed miserably, so I took it down to the bare bones, removed all the mess inside, put in Warm & Natural batting, reassembled it & SID.
What a job!

BUT, the good part is that she GAVE me her 5 year old digital camera in exchange for all my hard work. She knew I had been wanting a digital camera so that I could share my quilting with all you special friends. It gives me such joy to see your work.

This is a picture of her "quilt", redone:

You're truly a great friend for doing all that.

Wow! You must 1) really love her; and 2) really want a digital camera. Good job.

I love the colors and the fabrics in this quilt! It sure would have been nice to see before pics. I'm glad you got a camera so that we can see pics of all your work!!

I did this for a friend several years ago. She had a comforter that had lost it's puff. She wanted me to add more to it. First, had to unstitch everything, then add batting and resew it. It was a king size. I said I would NEVER do that again! More work than making a king sized quilt from scratch!
You are a great friend for doing this - glad you were rewarded with the digital camera. :)

The quilt really looks nice. I hope your friend really knows just how hard you worked to make the quilt the way she wanted. I'm not sure I would ever be able to redo a quilt(well....maybe if it were for one of my daughters or grandchildren.)

Yes to both, but SHE is a wonderful generous friend. I was more than
happy that I could do something nice for her.

Thanks for your kind comments.
