I'd like to learn how to make a bargello quilt. What would be a good first book to buy? Though it be easier to ask you guys BEFORE going to JAs.

I just finished my first bargello myself, and my favorite is Twist and Turn Bargello Quilts by Eileen Wright. There are several projects in the book at different levels of skill. It might be a good one to start with since you can make a project as small as a placemat before moving up to wall hangings and bed-sized quilts. Very clear, precise directions, and lots of information on how to choose fabrics, etc. Good luck, and be sure to post pics of your finished project.
