This hasn't been quilted yet but I couldn't wait to share. With 3 sons, they don't go for the traditional blocks. I loved the way this one turned out so far but having a bit of trouble deciding on the quilting pattern to be used on it...any suggestions?

love it!

That's terrific ! Love the colors. Sorry, no quilting ideas.

I would do it in a channel or in the ditch- kinda together- on the wonderfully done red and yellow strips do it in the ditch and then continue into the brown squares- then in the brown squares between the horizontal lines and the vertical lines it will become a cross hatch- but don't do the cross hatch in the red and yellow part- I think that would look really neat

On the one I made, I followed just the edge of the weave not crossing the intersections, and then did a small meander on the background blocks. It made the ribbons more dimensional and emphasized the floating aspect (in mine the ribbons have shadows). Worked out well for me. (Colleen Wise just ditch stitches hers like that, too.)

was this a Marilyn Doheny pattern? If so, it's the second quilt I ever made and I love it. Love your colors too, it is a great pattern.

Oooo, I'd love to see that!

No, it is a Miriam Nathan-Roberts published by Brookshier Design Studio patterns.
