DITTO to all comments made:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: Even when lurking I get such a great boost! This makes all things quilting possible for me. Sometimes I'm stuck or sometimes down & it always always helps to come here & widen my horizons & met such lovely people.:)

I so agree with all your reasons, and many more, too. There is so much support and encouragement to be found here. Plus lots and lots to learn. Glad you mentioned it!

I share a house with my sister who has no interest in quilting so I get my "chatty" fix from this board! She does drop me at the LQS when we go to Billings,MT. so I can get my fix of fabrics. I have learned so much from all of you thanks for being here .

Inspiration to try new things - I never have a shortage of new ideas thanks to all of you.

1) For introducing me to spray basting!
2) For letting me know that about a single hole (stitch) plate for my sewing machine - piecing is so much easier now.
3) That I do not have to iron my binding before sewing it on
4) Tutorials - I have used about 4 of them!
5) Pictures - I am a visual learner and I love having my morning coffee and looking at all our creations
6) The ability to buy and sell - why not support our sister/fella quilters
7) Encouragement and recognition that my personal quilting is not too shabby
8) The ability to help others when they are in need of a block or two, or to know where to find something

It was Canadian Thanksgiving yesterday and I am thankful for all of you!

Ditto the information and help from this board is fantastic!!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and yours Yippie U.S.A.

Love this place! So much good advice, encouragement and yes, I too feel that I have found many friends. When I have a question, someone has an answer. Love the tuts and links. My day isn't complete without a visit to QB.
We can be so quick to complain, it's nice to say thanks.

I'm sure you have given as much as you have received and I thank you for that as well...This is a great site isn't it??

How sweet!

Oh my where to start?? I have had donation support from all over the world from quilter's who post at the quiltboard for the diabetic children silent auctions for three years. The quilter's here are so generous not only with the tips, pictures and friendship. They are like sister's from another mother! So thanks donnors!

The swaps have taught me different styles of applique, piecing, and to think outside the box with color choices. Yes hosting a swap is a teaching experiance everyone. A way to give back and learn all at once.So thanks swappers!

The powers that be here on the board must be angels because they are kind and always there for us. Thanks So Much, administration!

and last but not least ... thanks to all.... for the sisterhood of the traveling quilts.

The inspiring pictures of my fellow quilter's here livens my day and gives me smiles with food for thought. So thanks boardmembers!

I agree with the POSITIVE attitude that is displayed on the board. When I've had a bad day at work or the kids have pushed me to my limits, I get online and read and drool over all of your quilts. Thanks so much 'cuz I really need that.
There seems to be a comradery---there is always someone out there who understands what you are going through and that is helpful. Thanks for whoever began this QB and those moderators or whoever makes it work.

Gee whiz, I can't begin to tell you how much help I've gotten in just a few short months. I've been sewing all my life, but I am still a newbie (a rank amateur) when it comes to quilting. I really appreciate the friendship. There's an old recitation out there somewhere that starts "Friends are never earned, they're a gift from the loving God . . . I couldn't say it any better than all of you have already, but I'll second your posts and replies!
