I'm a newbie to quilting. I have a hard time understanding the abbreviations used in some of the posts. Is there a place on the site which explains the abbreviations?

If you go to the search (above) and type in Abbreviations it will give you long lists (smile).

BOM-block of the month
LQS-Local quilt shop
Nickles- 5" squares
Cakes-10" squares
Jelly rools- 2.5" x WOF (Width of fabric)
DD-Dear Daughter
SIL- sister in law
