My avatar is made from 2 jelly rolls that I bought online. It was fun and not as hard as it looks to make.

Wow johnette, only 2? How big is it?

My beginner class that starts tonite is using jellyrolls for the Stars and Strips patter by Atkinson. Let me tell ya, it really helped this newbie b/c I have a hard time visualizing a quilt with a different color scheme. I've been collecting fabric for my long-term quilting project and have a hard time matching, so it was a relief to find out that it had been taken care of already. :)

Gosh, i'm rambling now. I've been online the past few days looking at different fabrics and patterns and on fatquartershop.com, under the patterns, they sell pattern books and many of them are designed for jellyrolls or strips.

According to my class supply list I could of used
- 2 1/2 x 42 Strips
- 1 Moda Jellyroll
- Quarter Yard Cuts

I know it probably doesn't help you out, but its a little insight from a beginner.

Sewnsewer2,
I used a 45 x 60 batting, so the finished size is just a hair under that. I am collecting jelly rolls from Hancocks, every time I go I get one. I now have three, can't wait to start playing with them.

Thanks johnette, it sure is pretty.
