Hi, does anyone have the AccuQuilt cutting system? How do you like it and what dies do you use the most? I would appreciate any information. :)

I do! I find it an asset for my painful joints. I use the odd shaped templates like the feathers, flowers and hope to get a few more of that type. I rotary cut my strips and do not find those a great help.
Would I buy it again? Yes, since I got it at a good price from www.shoppersrule.com.

I got mine when it first came out. I bought the starter set dies, the tumbler die, the hexagon die, the 2 1/2 strip cutter, and several more. I use it for 95% of my cutting. I like it because the cuts are exactly alike and the dog ears are cut off. I use the Tumbler die more than I thought I would. I cut four layer at at time but some cut 6. I find four is easier for me. I have very little waste, mostly thin strips. I cut and fold the fabric to fit the blades, not the die. I love to cut my scraps into pre cut pieces. I starch and press my fabric before cutting. I thought about getting the Studio model. It cost more and takes a lot of room but now that I know what the Go will do, the Studio model is one step up. I'm very pleased with the Go and would buy it again. I'm sure other companies will be making their on version of the Go soon so the price will come down some. For the quality of the machine it can't be too inexpensive or it will be a piece of junk.

I have one too, the Go model. I bought the 2 1/2" strip, good for bindings. Also the 8 1/2" rag block die. I use fleece for my rag quilts and boy, how cool is it that the fringe is already cut :!: I have the 6 1/2" square, and the 1 1/2" strip dies too. If I had the room I would consider the larger size machine, but it won't fit in my humble house. And as BellaBoo said, I'm sure the prices will come down once competitors start making these machines. I am hoping the dies will all be interchangable when they do.

I found if I put a piece of thin paper over the die before the fabric keeps the strings out of the die when using the rag die. The dies were made for paper so paper will not dull the blades at all. I borrowed the rag die but will probably buy one for myself later on. It sure makes a fast rag quilt! The new dies are Drunkard' Path and Applecore. Here is where I order all my dies now and she has great discounts and is an authorized Accucut dealer. So she can exchange or handle any problem without a hassle.

Have you used those chisels for anything? I am thinking of ordering the Drunkard's Path die. I have made several quilts using the Colorado Backporch templates, but my, how easy it would be to cut them this way!

I have the AccuQuilt Go -- and I love it!! The ones I use the most are the 2 1/2" stripper and the 1 1/2" stripper. Also love the 5" block....aw heck, I love them all....

And Bellaboo -- thanks for the web site. You can also buy die sets at ShoppersRule quite reasonably too. :D
