I came home last night to find that our pump for our well was broken and we had no running water. I had to take a shower at my step-mom's work (the local sheriff's dept-HAHA) Then the plumber didn't show up today during the time I took off from work to meet him. I decided to work on my quilt while waiting for the guy and I screwed it up and then spent the rest of the time ripping it out. Then I ended up working til 7 tonight due to being gone all afternoon... but after all that I made a fantastic discovery tonight!
I found out about basting spray!!! I don't know who invented that stuff but they deserve a gold medal! and for the first time in two days I was able to work on my quilt without being frustrated. :)

The point of my story is that it doesn't matter if you can't take a shower, go to the bathroom, or brush your teeth... My quilt is half quilted and beautiful!! :)

(and hopefully the pump will get fixed tomorrow so I don't feel like a homeless person living out of my car. )

I'm sorry that you had so many "yucky" things happen to you lately.

I love using basting spray. I think it is the greatest invention!!!

I'm glad you were able to find a silver lining in your cloud. Hope you have running water again soon.

It was one of those "if anything can go wrong days, it will" but you came out ahead by working on the quilt. You took a lemon and made lemonade, good job.

Bless yer heart! But, see?, it doesn't take a lot to make a quilter happy, does it? Just a little ole can of sticky stuff.

Glad it's better.

Blessings, Ruth

LoL! Don't feel too bad, I had one of those "sitting at a stop sign, waiting for the light to turn green" days myself yesterday. So glad the best part of the day was your quilting progress. ^_^

Basting spray is a gift from the gods as far as I'm concerned. I still use the pinmores in some of the outside areas but once I started using basting spray I never looked back.

It's truly amazing when we can determine what isn't all that important in our lives and cherish the moments that really were more meaningful.
