Here is my problem! Well, one of my problems. I can't focus on any one quilt without starting several more. I can't stick to just quilt patterns but constantly find new diversions such as this great design. The rug pattern on my blog came into my life too late but at least I have the original ad tucked away for posterity. Every where I look, I don't see what is there but what could be with a little glorious fabric. Am I completely nuts and how do I blow the picture up enough?

Of course you are!! We all are and this is one nut house that I don't think any of us want to escape from. It's like being on a never ending roller coaster. Since you can't stop it just hang on and enjoy the ride.

Queen 12-11-2010 02:54 AM

Welcome to the nut house.

Mary

Oh! I am glad in not just me. lol

raedar63 12-11-2010 04:55 AM

You are in fine company, I just hope when I pass my family finds someone to love my fabric and projects half as much as I do. In reality it will most likely end up in a landfill,I better get busy!

grendelskin 12-11-2010 05:51 AM

I'm the same, have about 35 dancing in my head and 4-6 underway all at once! I once thought that taking up this hobby would help me focus but I was SO wrong!
LOVE the advert, it would make a gorgeous quilt.

CarrieAnne 12-11-2010 05:57 AM

Yes, just like ALL of us, lol!

sueisallaboutquilts 12-11-2010 06:28 AM

stewyscrewy 12-11-2010 06:51 AM

hey you are speaking to the resident nut hut spokesperson here. I would love to see that blown up you could try taking it to office depot or any printer shops.

eaglebeak1960 12-11-2010 06:53 AM

yep Im a nut too

gotthebug 12-11-2010 06:55 AM

Join the Sisterhood! That is why I am absolutely amazed when I actually FINISH something. I usually have to come back to it 3 or more times before I finish. So much fabric and so many ideas, yet so little time. :)

katiebear1 12-11-2010 06:58 AM

Most certainly a nut, but in the best possible way.

RkayD 12-11-2010 07:27 AM

Sounds just like me! My kids laughed at me at first..everything is quilt books quilt sites quilt patterns quilt books..can't go into a store ~ ANY kind of store without me finding something that could be used in my sewing or converted to a quilting utensil. I have 3 projects on my wall and hundreds more waiting in the wings to be next. So if that makes me NUTS then I'll take it. At least I'm at home. And they forgive me when the laundry gets behind or I forget to take something out for dinner. They wrap up in a quilt that I did and all is right with the world. =)

pab 12-11-2010 11:37 AM

Yep! another member in the asylumn(see I cant even spell it)How bad is that??pab

quiltluvr 12-11-2010 12:06 PM

Momof3Es 12-11-2010 04:36 PM

No wonder I love this place where I spend hours reading, learning, and loving it and all of you. I am so elated to be a part of the "bowl of assorted nuts".

JUNEC 12-12-2010 05:27 AM

Thank you, thank you, thank you - thought I was the only one - being a nut has it's advantages - you are in great company - have fun with your creativity (sp)

No, you are definitely not nuts; and neither are the rest of us who think the same way. It's the rest of the world that's nuts. We are the normal ones.

Tinabodina 12-12-2010 05:54 AM

I don't understand? Isn't that normal?

sandpat 12-12-2010 06:04 AM

Scootch over will ya'? I'm in there with ya' an need room to sit down!

ShirlinAZ 12-12-2010 07:29 AM

Yeah, I think we're all nuts. Back when I was in the working world we used a projector that hooked up to the computer and threw the images on the wall. I was just on line looking at Staples and Amazon and there are quite a few of them on the market. Looks like decent quality starts close to $200 but it may be worth it if you are going to do many art quilts. I'm adding it to my long term wish list.:)

Glenda m 12-12-2010 07:52 AM

Did you know if you reverse the middle letters in Aunt.... you get.... A NUT!! That explains a lot doesn't it! LOL Morning from Oklahoma and I'm a pecan...

catmcclure 12-12-2010 07:57 AM

Are you nuts? Of course you are, all quilters are. What sane person pays $10+ for good fabric then cuts it up into small pieces and sews it back together again?

Take the ad to a Kinkos and they'll blow it up as large as possible.

quiltaroni 12-12-2010 08:03 AM

I can just hear my mum saying come away in youre in good company hope you can bide a while.

ArtisticDesign 12-12-2010 08:20 AM

I Wish I could work on several projects at once... I see something I like = I buy the material, print of any directions and or pattern...Then stack it all on my book case for later... Then go back to finish the one I'm presently working on...Cause it would drive me nuts not to finish it before starting another lol
Although, I think part of that is because I am new to quilting and it takes a lot of concentration/learning as I go...Once Im more of a seasoned quilter..I'll probably join the rest of you..

Tweety2911 12-12-2010 08:29 AM

To all my fellow "nutsies" I am proud to be a member!

MommaDorian 12-12-2010 08:33 AM

Most definitely, but we love you anyway!!

jojosnana 12-12-2010 08:40 AM

Here we all are!!!

butterflies5518 12-12-2010 11:18 AM

love the photo of mixed nuts - just told the boyfriend yesterday I spend more time on this board than actually sewing - but I wouldn't have it any other way, love ya all!

jellyrollnut 12-12-2010 02:26 PM

I must be nuts also. I have been buying material, mostly precuts, saying this is the one that I am going to start with. See I have been out for a while. However, I will find another pattern and then can't decide. It must be fabric fever because I keep ordering or it is the holidays? I hope that will be my new resolution to get started on something. So many suggestions and new ideas on this board. I would be happy to just have several going at one time.

obie2 12-12-2010 03:03 PM

I fit in here too.

Now, there's a finite (sp) line between nutty and crazy don't you think?

OneMoreQuilt 12-12-2010 04:22 PM

When I was a kid and someone called one of us a nut, we'd say: Nuts grow on trees, trees come from nature, nature is beautiful, so thanks for the compliment!!! I enjoy being a nut....welcome to the club.
