I am thinking of another machine, Necchi 6160 and am wondering if anyone has any comments on this machine or Brand in general. I want it for applique and quilting. Thanks for all your good advise I see online at this site.

Have no Idea what my Necchi Logica # is but it has been a wonderful machine and still just purrs. Has so many nice stitches on it and 2 Alphabets. 102 sq inches of quilting space. Did you do a search for it?
Mine is going to Ca to my DIL. I gave it to her for Christmas. It is a much better machine that she was looking at. She went to Wal Mart and called about a Brother and I said oh Brothe NO dear.... Mom will give you a good machine. This will be her first machine ans she is so excited. So I got side tracked. From what I have had with the one I got it has been very good. I was offered $550 for it and I said no way. The lady who wanted it has an alterations business and has used hers for many years so she know the machine and loves all the space. It was $2500 new.
Good luck with yours.

How many inches are between the needle and the control panel on the right--actual harp/throat space? I'm guessing 8 inches. That is definitely the weirdest looking sewing machine I've ever seen.

Connie, I've never seen a machine like this before! How oddly cool!!
