Baysidegal 09-22-2010 01:20 PM

Hmmmmm... Haven't heard of it...I'll be watching to see if anyone has used it...

Minda 09-22-2010 01:23 PM

I don't have them, but they look interesting.

M.E.H. 09-22-2010 01:24 PM

They certainly look interesting. Will be watching for comments with interest.

I wounder how much that cost's if it is not too high it help some of us get what we need

Beth 09-22-2010 02:27 PM

Would someone please buy some so we know how good they are

mom-6 09-22-2010 02:34 PM

Thanks for the link! They definitely look like something that could be very useful. Kind of pricey for my budget, but then I'm the original El Cheapo!!!

justwannaquilt 09-22-2010 02:37 PM

They WON'T be on my Christmas wish list. Maybe if I did alot of sewing that these "specialty feet" do I would accept them as a gift as long as someone else was paying. LOL but I don't think I would ever buy them! 71.00 for some generic feet! nah, I'm good.

I thought they sounded interesting until I saw the price. I think I'll stick with what I have.

Sadiemae 09-22-2010 02:42 PM

They look interesting, but I definitely don't have $80+ dollars to spend.

me either..but the one foot i might use was $25.00..which is about what i think the feet for the janomes run anyways.
this is the one i was looking at:
http://www.creativefeet.com/products...satinedge-foot

and while we are at it.."looking and dreaming"..here is basting glue..would work better than the glue sticks..

i wish i was going to the novi sewing expo..i will bet they will be doing the demo! i can't walk that good yet..my new knee is only 7 weeks old..so i don't think i should even try..

Ginaky 09-22-2010 03:33 PM

These feet aren't new--I've had mine probably 10-15 years. I used them a good bit when I got them but the things I was making changed and I didn't use them so much. I still have them, though. They worked great for what they were designed for.

miss_ticky2 09-22-2010 03:46 PM

Looks great. I googled and found it here in Australia - $150 :( Maybe I don't need it

featherweight 09-22-2010 03:53 PM

I did see them demonstrated at the Denver show in July. They were a little steep in price for plastic. I did purchase the invisible thread and the glue. I can't find the glue so I can't help there but I have used their thread and I was very pleased with it's performance.

sew_it_up 09-22-2010 03:58 PM

I bought these years ago when they first came out. I used them a lot back then. I have not used them much recently. They are great for doll clothes, costumes and the satin edge foot works very well.

Beth 09-22-2010 04:19 PM

I agree, I would rather spend the money on fabric

sewingladydi 09-22-2010 08:00 PM

I'll look for them at the Novi show this week end. I was planning to check out some new feet for my Viking and old Kenmore. But I'm pretty cheap so we'll see.......

tjradj 09-22-2010 08:12 PM

I don't think I'd use it. I have most of the feet for my machine (they came with it) so I have the beading, pintuck, zipper, walking foot, rolled edge foot, etc etc.
I am however getting the quilt binding attachment for my new Janome. It will fold and apply the binding along the edge of the quilt and the needle goes perfectly along the edge. Now THAT was a must have!

CoyoteQuilts 09-22-2010 09:27 PM

I think I have a couple of these feet! I will have to dig them out and give them a try. The one that interests me the most is the satin edge foot for applique.

HELLuvvANGEL 09-22-2010 10:56 PM

OK now i want one lol thankx!! hehe

HELLuvvANGEL 09-22-2010 11:05 PM

I just did a search on ebay and found my machine has a foot made for it for the sequin, yarn, ribbon and its a bit cheaper so u might wanna look around. I have a Baby Lock Ellure...

Thought I saw it cheaper - but I was wrong so have deleted my post.

DLM3 09-23-2010 12:18 AM

I just bought a new machine and it came with all kinds of feet that do all of that stuff. So I will be taking a pass. I wouldn't spend that kind of money anyway. I am with the rest of you and would rather spend it on fabric.

watterstide 09-23-2010 01:34 AM

So the "subject title" fits the bill! lol! Thanks for all the input..!

sewgray 09-23-2010 03:48 AM

I've had them for several years, at least 10. Have I ever used them? No.

BRenea 09-23-2010 07:51 AM

I've had them for a while, too. I used them a lot when I was sewing garments and the like. Maybe I have to dig them out again and see what they will do for my quilting!

Kitsie 09-23-2010 08:25 AM

$80.00? I checked out the Satinedge and saw a price of $25.00. I think you can buy them separately. That'd be the one I want.

Oops, OK this has been posted.

roserips 09-23-2010 08:46 AM

I have 2 of the sewing feet purchased about 15 to 20 years ago at the Sew Expo in Puyallup, WA. I use the adapter foot all the time and my feet are interchangeable with all of my machines. Don't know what they cost now but they have really been worth the money to me.

Owllady 09-23-2010 08:59 AM

A little pricey for a play toy. Unless we can figure out a way to make an entire quilt using these. Just a thought.

I agree I (onely) need two 1/4 foot and stich-in-the-ditch have the rest. When I got a new computer I had a problem with it and the yo-yo did not know how to say Only.

retired2pa 09-23-2010 01:47 PM

I'd rather spend the money on fabric...LOL :)

Katia 09-23-2010 02:58 PM

I really want that satin edge one. Anyone want to give up one rattling around in their sewing box? I'll pay.
