I also have a fiskars like bevanger ( I am on my third one) but for some reason, the nut that holds the blade together keeps coming loose. :( Does anyone else have that problem or am I doing something wrong?
It's a little frustrating as the blade wobbles and makes a bad cut when it loosens up. Does this make any sense to anyone? Thanks for any help or suggestions. Laurilli |
Mine did the some.

I have one that does that too, and I believe its a fiskars, hmm think it might be a bad cutter? Also its a bigger one, 60mm I believe. what size is yours?

Well, I am glad (sad) to hear it's not just me. My cutter is a 45mm.

If I understand you correctly, the nut is working itself loose from the screw.
If that's the case wrap some plumber's tape around the threads of the screw and replace the nut. That should help tighten it up so the nut stays put until you want it to move. Good luck! |
On mine, if the nut is tightened too much the blade won't roll, so I think that is why mine will loosen up...I got in the habit of checking it each time I go to cut fabric.

Mine does that too. I quit using it in favor of another brand.

Green loctite will also work to keep the nut secure but also be removed when you need to chage blades.

I routinely flip my blades over when they start wearing out, with no ill effects. I'm not sure they have "right" or "wrong" sides.

I've never had that problem.
