another? from tapper
Hello to all my quilting buddies out there in cyber world! I hope things are going well for all of you.
I have a question about the actual quilting. If I have a pattern that has a star inside a quilting block, how do I make the star stand out? Do I outline the star by quilting a quarter of an inch inside or outside the star? I guess what I want to know is how to make an area POP? Should the quilting be inside or outside the area? Thanks to you.....from tapper. |
Outline the star by SID then quilt outside of the star with close meandering or some other background fill. This should make your star pop.

I agree with nycquilter. Here is a pic of one I did this way. As you can see I am a better quilter than picture taker.
