Antique to Heirloom Jelly Roll Quilts

I just got my grubby little hands on a copy of the new book by Pam & Nicky Lintott, and I have to say this is the best one yet! I don't think there's a single project in the entire book that I don't want to try! I'd heard that it wasn't available until September, but I was able to get it on Amazon in just 2 days. I give it 5 stars!!!

I love their designs! I can't wait to get my hands on this one.

I noticed that one last night on Amazon.ca. I'm heading on a roadtrip out of the territory next week and plan on stopping at a couple of LQS's so was hoping for a chance to see it in person. Thanks for the review.

I'm not familiar with the authors but the book looks fabulous! Two of my all-time favorite things... jelly rolls & antique quilts! Thanks for the heads up!

Oh, that's TERRIFIC!!!! :) I just LOVED their first book - I still want to make everything in it. I'm so happy that this one is just as good.

Either their second or third book, "Jelly Roll Inspirations" were quilts by their customers - and that book just didn't have "the look" that their first book(s) had. It was like the quilts lost their freshness or something.

The one thing I would change about their directions is that they advocate leaving extra fabric in place when you use the sew and flip method. The darker fabrics often shine right through the lighter ones that overlie them and it's distracting on quilts that are so beautiful in every other way. Use a lot of starch to stabilize your fabric before you cut, but I wouldn't recommend leaving all that extra fabric in place. Besides, if you consider them "bonus" HST's, you can make miniature quilts out of them! :)

Received my copy today. Really great book with lots of antique quilts in modern ways. Thanks for the heads up.

You're right - the projects in this one are just great! Thanks for letting us know about it!

I got Jelly Roll Dreams at the same time, and it has some really cool stuff in it, too. :)
