I am thinking about purchasing the Simplicity Rotary Cutting Machine. It is the one that will only cut strips up to 2 1/2 inches. It seems like most of the quilt patterns that I am drawn to at this time require a lot of the 2 1/2 strips. However, before I actually purchase one, I would appreciate your pros and cons about this product.

Thanks, Betty

From what I have read on this board, most people do NOT like this machine. If you do a search you may find a lot more comments. Hope this helps! :)

wish I could help, I cut mine the old fashion way and if I am in a hurry I keep jelly rolls on hand

Thanks for the suggestion. I am still getting familiar with this message board and did not think of using the search function.

I have read that some reviews on Amazon and other places where people LOVE it. I think the learning curve is steep.

It seems it is the "men" who persist and learn to use it and the women who find it annoying and easier to cut by hand.

I have one and don't use it. I tried and my mom tried and we just never got the hang of it. But, we only tried a few times.

Now, the Bias Tape Maker is another story. I use it often. :)

Thank you everyone! I so appreciate your comments. I went into the search feature as suggested and read multiple reviews about the product. I will not be purchasing one. Guess I will just have to buy more fabric with the money I am saving!

Hated it. I returned it back to Joanns.
